Well, I better get this posted before the new semester starts. Here are our pictures from Christmas!
The week before Christmas we drove down to TN to visit with the Grandparents and friends. We dodged a big snow storm on the way down. It was fun watching the thermometer on the truck go up as the miles on the odometer increased. I seemed like about 1 degree / 25 miles south. 40 degrees in TN felt like summer to us! It was below 20 when we left the Detroit Metro.
Once in TN we spent some time exploring and taking with the horses.
Jamie had a great time playing outside, climbing the fences, and running around the backyard.
The waterfalls are still there:
One of the highlights of the trip was the visit to Shawn's parents house. Ol' Larry hitched up the minihorse and we all went for cart rides. Here's Christine...
Yup, yup!
After a 10 hour drive back home (dodging another storm) we had our own little Christmas.
The stockings were hung by the banister with care:
It looks as if Saint Nick had been there:

Trains will appear:
The weather since Christmas has been a bit cold. This morning it was 3. We hopped in the car and drove down to the Detroit Institute of Art and got our fill. Jamie's favorite was Van Gogh's "Postman". Christine and I were pretty blown away by Rivera's "Detroit Industry" frescos.
Jamie was also a big fan of the giant 3 way adapter plug:
