Jamie is a big fan of music. He especially likes Spoon and will listen to Spoon records over and over. I'm not sure if he wants to be a drummer or a singer. Maybe he could be both, kind-a-like Phil Collins (Genesis era, not the solo stuff, ewwww, are you kidding me?)

Catch up - Ketchup
Last Post February. Screw it I'm skipping 3 months. Not much happened anyway. It was cold, now it's warm. Flowers grew, wilted and died. Now it is July. Summertime!
Starting with June:
Jamie's last week of school. He dressed as a psychedelic cowboy prepster from the Scottish highlands:
There have been several trips to several lakes. These are from a local park where we rented a rowboat. Jamie and I spent a lot of time arguing over who was in charge of the oars.
We also camped out in the backyard. I think Jamie would sleep in the backyard every night if we would let him.

Art time!
Jamie learned to draw faces this week. I think they are pretty cool.
Painting valentines with Momma:
One of the first simple faces:
I really like this one:
More complicated:
A self portrait of the artist complete with wild hair:
Portrait of Momma with "Mad-bumps".
Mad bumps are the wrinkles on Momma's forehead when she's angry with Jamie and frowning.
Finally, like any true artist Jamie suffers for his work. Here he is after 1 too many shots of tequila.
Aye-aye-aye!

More igloo pictures
We went out and worked on the igloo a little this morning. Here are a few more pictures with warm bodies inside for sense of scale. I can lay lengthwise inside so it's about 6' x 6' x 2.5' high. Once inside it is pretty warm and well insulated. I might have to get out the sleeping bag tonight just so I can say I've slept in an igloo. Don't know too many people who can say that!
The outside:
Inside:
The roof is supported by some iron lattice work from our summer time gazebo which I then covered with an old painting tarp.
Jamie coming out the front door:
Dadda squeezing out the front door. Yeah it's a little tight!

What we do to make through the winter
Warm winter gear:
Momma straps on the snowshoes:
Dadda pulls the boy along:
Free ice. (broken off the eve of the house) Keeps our drinks cold and our spirits warm.
Valentines Day (Because Christine can't pee in the snow like I can.)
Guinness on Ice:
What to do with all that snow I shoveled off the driveway:
